Add commentLebanon, the audacity of Arab hopes!
by Gebran Sons for Cedar Revolution IITwenty million Iranians woke up today realizing the nightmare is not over, wishing they could live in Lebanon to vote down this political monstrosity. Ahmadnajad has transformed Iran into a prison of mind and spirit. A sadistic merchant of honor and patriotism, using indoctrination, class warfare, and welfare addiction to protect his state prison and intimidate opposition and freedom seekers. Iran is the largest economic, social and political failure in the world despite having the second largest natural resources. No wonder educated Iranians view today as a day to live in infamy, the day Jahilya won! If Berri denounce Hizbollah’s Ahmadnajad tactics, refuse arm worship and culture of hate and war, promote freedom and diversity consistent with Lebanon’s culture, and then visit Iranian cities, he’ll be welcomed as hero and true statesman. Lebanon’s free democracy is an Arab and Western necessity. Today it has become an Iranian necessity. The region’s supply of oxygen for freedom and democracy. Mr. Berri, this is time for statesmanship, time to restore the Lebanese Shiaa, the most democratic and civilized Shia community in the world, to its rightful place, this is time to side with the eternal principles of freedom and democracy. These are the principles of the Cedar Revolution, the most extraordinary event in the Arab world. Mr. Berri the day you courageously decide to join the tent of freedom and democracy is the day Lebanon will celebrate its rebirth, the unity of all communities, the day our democracy will be complete, the day no external force can divide us anymore, the day we truly become the resala and freedom flame to the region, the day will be build a statute of freedom at Beirut harbor bringing hope and an island of freedom to all oppressed people in the region . This day will be Cedar Revolution II. On that day, all of us, the sons and daughters of the Cedar Revolution we’ll extend Gebran’s Oath to say loudly and with great determination that we will do everything possible so that the Shiaa community receives its deserved share of respect, development and prominent role in executive power. No longer we will accept that any region in Lebanon will be deprived of good jobs, best universities, great social services, protected environment and excellent highway and communication infrastructure. Lebanon strength will be measured by the level of freedom, development and services afforded to the poorest of Lebanon regions. This is Cedar Revolution II, the party of all of Lebanon.
Bye Bye Hizbollah, even Iranians won't welcome you
by Gebran Sons for Cedar Revolution IIHizbollah arms have been rejected by all Lebanese, including the Shiaa, and are preventing the development and progress of the South as well as the unity of all Lebanese communities under the principles of freedom, sovereignty, justice and equal development. Once the Shiaa join the tent of freedom and democracy that Gebran Tueni called the Party of Lebanon, Lebanon unity will be complete and all foreign influences will evaporate. This will usher the golden age of Lebanon regaining our role as Paris and Switzerland of the Middle East and the undisputed regional headquarter of multinational firms serving the region. As to Hizbollah, no other political party in the world went from liberators to invaders and oppressors in such a short time, and per Der Spiegel potential cold-blood criminals. Hizbollah have lost all credibility and survive only by force of arm. Its intimidation tactics that worked in Iran and Syria have not worked in Lebanon, rather backfire on it. Hizbollah has been vomited by all Lebanese, and soon by the Shiaa community that is suffocating under its inquisition and paying dearly for its mistakes and obsession with wars, indoctrination, and total obedience. Hizbollah have turned the land of Imam Musa Saddr into North-Korean-type mindless followers, blinded by hate and blind obedience, making Shiaa strangers into their own land. It has destroyed the middle class, exiled free thinkers, and ruined employment and investment opportunities. The day Hizbollah turned its militia on Lebanese and the media is the day it committed political suicide. Hizbollah will never be accepted as belonging to the Lebanese landscape because it has been exposed as Iran’s occupation army. The only choice remaining to Hizbollah is to get Lebnanized, stop indoctrinating the youth and subsidy welfare dependency, and become an unarmed political party like any other once Shebaa Farms is resolved. Then Hizbollah may be embraced by all Lebanese and truly thanked for Liberating the South in 2000. Otherwise, Hizbollah will always be viewed as a pariah waiting to devour our freedom and democracy to transform Lebanon into a military outpost to Iran’s radicals to be used as an attack-dog to protect Iran’s nuclear nirvana.
Stop and look around… you’re in for a big surprise
by Gebran Sons for Cedar Revolution IITime to stop and count our blessings. We have been conditioned to believe first that the Cedar Revolution was a fluke scripted in Western embassies, second Lebanese politics can never be independent of Syria and Iran, and third elections are always bought in Lebanon. All are untrue. The Cedar Revolution is as genuine as our cedar trees. No organized force in the world can gather in little time one third of a country into a peaceful demonstration. Second, Syria and Iran today are much more influenced by Lebanon than vice versa. We have democracy and freedom and both are admired by average Syrians and Iranians. It only takes Lebanese Shiaa to enter the tent of freedom and democracy to unify the country and end all foreign influences in Lebanon. Our democratic flame will no doubt spread to Syria and the region because democracy and freedom correspond to eternal aspirations of people. Third the elections truly represent Lebanese wishes. Both the Cedar Revolution and 2009 elections were a genuine expression of people wishes and were decided by the silent majority. M14 should be careful not to misappropriate the win as it did in 2005. We demand reforms, a specific plan for the first 100 days, and serious efforts (massive development program and power sharing plans) to bring the Shiaa under the tent of freedom and democracy. It only takes bringing the Shiaa into what Gebran Tueni called the Party of Lebanon for our unity and democracy to be complete and we can start our role in democratizing and unifying the region, while constructing a permanent bridge between East and West; and Muslim and Christian civilizations.
Zahra ya Zahra
by JohnnyAm I surprised? not at all. all I want is an apology from everyone I spoke to before the elections and was attacking us (the FPM) because of Hizballah. Now Mr. Zahra supports our position 1 day after the election. What ever happened to all the lies and scare tactics. They lied to people and they stole the majority. Thank God there were enough people who held the line ... My head is spinning and WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!
THE ONLY THING THAT COMES INTO MIND
by JOEAll that I can think about is the song titled "WHAT A DIFFERENCE IS DAY MAKE" and the difference is youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. If this is not enough for this guys supporters then I don't know what is. There is no need for me to go in details, the obvious is evident. God help the Lebanese people, who have people in power more interested in getting bribes then with the well fare of their nation, most of them are camilians, they change opinions with the weather
Huzbellah arms and speakership position
by TT1- We must dissarm Huzbellah on papers and we must never accept them verbally either. Huzbellah must be kept on his toes and must surrender security in Dahiey to state securities. 2- Berri must not be re-elected for speakership pposition. he did all he can to obstruct president election and his militia was involve in 7 of may criminal acts against west Beirut and it is just about time for him to see things from the other side...from the floor.
